“VRIDDHI”- 5 ELDERLY DAY PROGRAMME
The Vriddhi 5 Elderly Engagement Programme held on March 13, 2024, a significant gathering aimed at promoting the well-being and complete health of our senior community members. The event commenced with a Health Checkup Registration at 9:00 AM, followed by informative sessions and engaging activities.
Attendees were provided with valuable insights into Home Health Services, Senior Health Checkup Packages, Vayah Vikas registration, and essential contact details including ambulance services and help desk numbers related to their needs. The session concluded at 10:00 am, with all queries satisfactorily answered.
Dr. Raghavendra Nayak, Consultant Nephrologist from AJHRC, delivered an informative session on Kidney Health, on the occasion of World Kidney Day. Attendees had the opportunity to interact with the doctor and get their queries addressed.
Dr. Prashanth Marla, Consultant Urologist and Transplant Surgeon, spoke on the significance of organ donation. He addressed doubts and misconceptions, fostering a better understanding among the audience.
On the event of International Women’s day a special talk delivered by Mrs. Lekshmi, Branch Manager of Canara Bank, AJ Campus, and Mrs. Swathi, Officer from Canara Bank Kodialbail, Mangalore, on "Banking Awareness with Special Focus on Senior Citizens Schemes." They answered queries and provided valuable insights.
A memento was presented to the bankers by Dr. Amitha P Marla, DMA, acknowledging their contribution.
Dr. Alisha, Physiotherapist of AJHRC, conducted gentle stretching exercises for seniors.
Birthday celebrations for individuals with birthdays falling between Jan 24 to Mar 24 were conducted, adding a touch of joy to the event.
Seniors showcased their talents through entertaining performances, adding liveliness to the gathering. Refreshments were served.
