“Vriddhi”- 4 Elderly Day Programme (VAYAH VIKAS LAUNCH)

“Vriddhi”- 4 Elderly Day Programme held on February 21, 2024, was a resounding success, marked by insightful discussions, the launch of Vayah Vikas, and vibrant engagement among Vriddhi Members.

Health check-ups were conducted, including blood pressure (BP), sugar level, BMI, and nutritional assessments. Physiotherapy assessments were also carried. New members were registered.

                                                           

Dr. Namratha, Clinical Assistant, delivered an informative talk on "Diet - Lifestyle Management," which captivated the audience, comprising elderly members keen on enhancing their health and quality of life. The interactive session saw participants actively raising questions on various topics, including the benefits of sprouted foods and the optimal timing of water consumption before or after meals. These inquiries were expertly addressed, fostering a deeper understanding of dietary practices among members.

Launch of Vayah Vikas commenced with a warm welcome extended to esteemed guests and dignitaries. Mr. G K Bhat, Retd. GM of Karnataka Bank, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, together with Dr. Alexander Thomas, Founding Member of Vayah Vikas, Mr. Shankar Ranganathan, Head of Operations – Karnataka Chapter, Mr Srinivas Madhava Rao: Advisor – Karnataka Chapter, Dr. Prashanth Marla, Medical Director, AJHRC and Dr. Amitha P. Marla, Director Medical Administration, AJHRC.

The official inauguration of Vayah Vikas, marked by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolized a significant step towards empowering and supporting the elderly community.

         

The event gathered significant media coverage, amplifying the message of elderly care and empowerment to a broader audience.
 

The day concluded on a celebratory note, with entertainment programs by seniors, including birthday celebrations, accompanied by refreshments, promoting a sense of joy and fellowship among all participants.
