HAIR DONATION CAMPAIGN

On February 24, 2024, in observance of World Cancer Day, we organized a Hair Donation Campaign from 11 am to 3 pm. This initiative aimed to support cancer patients undergoing treatment, particularly those experiencing hair loss due to chemotherapy.

The event gathered participation from a diverse group of individuals including hospital staff, students, family members of staff, doctors, and other interested members.

Under the leadership of Dr. Amitha P Marla, DMA, AJHRC, the donated hair was collected and handed over to the Indian Cancer Society. Dr. Marla ensured that the donated hair would be utilized solely for the benefit of cancer patients, providing them with wigs or other forms of support to help restore their confidence during their battle against cancer.

Mrs. Maria Fernandes, Medico Social Worker, organized and coordinated the entire programme.
