Successful Pediatric Cardiac Checkup Camp at A.J. Hospital & Research Centre

We are delighted to announce that the Pediatric Cardiac Checkup Camp held on January 16, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at A.J. Hospital & Research Centre was a resounding success. A total of 172 patients, including children from Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Haveri, Shivamogga, Raichur, Davanagere, Madikeri, Uttara Kannada, Kerala, and other regions, benefitted from this initiative.

The camp provided free consultations, ECGs, and echocardiograms to all participants. Renowned Pediatric Cardiologist, Dr. Prem Alva, led the evaluation of the patients. The primary aim of this camp was to create awareness about pediatric cardiac health and provide access to vital services for children in need.

For those requiring further treatment, surgery, or procedures, benefits were extended through the Ayushman Bharat scheme, particularly for families holding BPL (Below Poverty Line) cards. Dr. Prem Alva and A.J. Hospital & Research Centre have been committed to serving the community for over 10 years, and this event further underscores their dedication to improving pediatric cardiac care.
