The programme commenced with a warm welcome. The CRO displayed various services offered, including details on geriatric care and daycare services, along with the distribution of brochures. A demonstration of Vayah Vikas registration was also conducted, accompanied by a video highlighting Vriddhi’s initiatives. Information about Sharada Yoga and Naturopathy OPD services was shared as an information to elders.
9:45 AM to 11:30 AM
The main health talk of the day, titled “Cultivating Happiness,” was delivered by Dr. Lavina Noronha, Director of Ave Maria Palliative Care, Vamanjoor, Mangalore. Dr. Noronha emphasized the importance of self-care, fostering independence in children, maintaining health insurance, building emergency funds, and documenting key personal details, such as insurance and nominee information. She also provided insights into the palliative care services offered by Ave Maria Palliative Care. The session concluded with an interactive discussion.
This was followed by an engaging exercise session conducted by the staff of Sharada Yoga and Naturopathy OPD, which included a laughter therapy session that lifted the spirits of the participants.
11:30 AM
The next session focused on “Financial Guidance” and was delivered by Mrs. Sapna Shenoy M, a Financial Educator and Investment Services Professional. The session provided practical advice on financial planning, savings, and investments, followed by a vibrant discussion where members clarified doubts and shared their experiences.
12:15 PM
An audio-visual presentation provided insights into Naturopathy treatments and the significance of Naturopathy Day. A Vriddhi member shared their personal experience with Naturopathy, creating a positive impact. Information on services offered at Sharada Yoga and Naturopathy Hospital was highlighted, including the sale of Naturopathy kits to support a healthy lifestyle.
12:30 PM Onwards
The programme concluded with the November birthday celebrations, where senior members were honoured with heartfelt wishes. The entertainment segment featured fun games and performances by the elderly members, creating an atmosphere of joy.
At the same time, the health check-ups for the participating elders were continued, ensuring comprehensive medical support for the attendees.
